Yes it’s not really my sort of thing – a bit twee – but a great learning experience, as part of the ‘Copying the Masters’ course, at my local art gallery in Gateshead.

This is a nice picture. Only teasing … I’ll not finish there :) Seriously, there is something soothing about the image of chickens being fed on a country farm. When I stayed on my great uncle’s farm once, he and his wife woke me at half five every morning to help feed the animals. My reward was to return to a massive bacon and egg breakfast and a pint mug of steaming hot tea … maybe that’s what this farm woman is looking forward to as she feeds those chicks :)
