I caught this guy on my girlfriend’s leg one night and she was kind enough to sit still long enough for me to draw it. Eventually they both left. First the griblett, then the girl.

Hey, ta! Mr Froud was the creative breast from which I suckled in my youth… Dark Crystal, Labyrinth… I guess it’s still in there!

I think that was another fave of mine, but as a teen – it’s the story of Mary and Percy Shelley, Dr Polidori and Lord Byron, isn’t it? I had no idea this picture would be so psychoanalytical!

I hate to think. It’s a picture of an ugly little fellow who likes to sit on naked girls, so I’m hoping for a less than literal reading!

It’s almost disconcerting, after so many years of hard art labour, to find my most popular image is a silly little thing I drew 11 years ago! You’ll have to find another place to elaborate now.
