Acrylic on board, heavy use of modelling medium was used to raise the surface. of the painting on knots and peeling bark. Also gold and silver wax rub was used on highlights.

This is just fabulous,looks like the tree out the back of the House. Another favourite.
this is so wonderful. love the painting style. I have so many photos of beautiful bark that I mean to make into paintings and never do. so this inspires me. great textures and color

as a matter of fact this painting will be on display in an art show, Strathfieldsaye, in about two weeks. Details will be in journal. Have had three art shows in central victoria, and another three in the following weeks, this is where most of our sales occur. Thanks for the lovely comment, Col via Heather
