Hi Susan..Riesling is very good against gravel but with moderation.

My father loved showing how he could down the raw zoute haring when we were in the Netherlands. He wouldn’t go looking for it here, in Sydney though.
Haven’t had riesling for a long time. Have been going for the (very cheap version of) Australian chardonnay.
