The largest equestrian sculpture in the world by sculptor Robert Glen is located in Williams Square, Irving,Texas, USA.
This magnificent larger than life sculpture was installed in 1984 as a memorial to the heritage of Texas. The mustangs are depicted racing through a flow of water in a granite stream.
Mustangs were the escaped descendants of horses brought to America by the Spaniards.
They roamed wild, northwest across Texas from Mexico.
Before the 18th century bands of mustangs were ranging wild and free over Texas and the northern plains.
