I Believe

Today I went to the funeral of Doris, an amazing 94 year old full of character and spark who kept her wonderful spirit and personality right to the end. I shall miss her and when thinking of a title for this photo taken in our recent fall of snow, the hymn sung at Doris’ funeral today seemed perfect.

I Believe

I believe, above the storm the smallest prayer, Will still be heard…

Everytime I hear a newborn baby cry.
Or touch a leaf, or see the sky,
Then I know why, I believe.”

I like the contrasts in this: the encouragement of the small and delicate pink blossom surviving the harshness of a late fall of bitterly cold snow and ice.

Thank you Phil that is such a nice way to put it and you’re right I feel so much better from having done this, it has indeed been a release for me today. What a wonderful tool we have in our photography, it’s benefits are many and quite priceless at times.

I just sang this and tried to remember who sang this many years ago, perfect words to compliment this pretty scene. This is a lovely close up, the melting snow looks like natures tears mourning the loss of a great lady…........a wonderful capture…....jacquei
