Hi I’m Jenny, I live in a small town in the South Island of New Zealand, a lovely little place called Geraldine.
I am an amateur photographer, passionate about photography and wish I could give up my day job to devote myself to it. There is so much I want to learn and try in this wonderful world of capturing images.
Mostly I just totally enjoy the way the world is much more interesting and amazing when you see things with a photographer’s eye.
And when you capture that special photograph, there’s a little piece of you, your creative soul, your thoughts and feelings, captured for all time too.
I’ve always had a camera in my hand….even when I was in primary school I had my trusty Kodak Instamatic never far away. Some of those early shots are still favourites of mine.
My first job was in a photography lab which I loved and now wish I’d stayed at much longer to learn more but hindsight is a great thing.
In recent times, after becoming frustrated with the limits of my digital point and shoot cameras, I finally moved to a digital SLR.
I now use a Canon EOS 50D camera and several Canon lenses and tripod. My latest purchases to add to the collection have been a Canon G12 camera, a Macro lens for my 50D and a remote shutter release cable.
I hope you enjoy taking a look at some of my work.
