I’d been reading about Zawi Chemi Shanidar, an archaeological site located in the Zagros Mountains, and had a head full of ideas about about the importance of goats in myth and history.

This image came to me while I was driving and stayed with me long enough for me to get home and paint it.

It was begun as a painting in acrylics and finished in Photoshop.
