Undershaw in Surrey is the former home of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and was built in 1897 to a design by the great man himself. I hope I have created a sense of mystery in this painting, befitting of the home of the creator of Sherlock Holmes. There is a campaign attempting to preserve this house for the nation – please give them your support: www.saveundershaw.com Mixed media (pen, ink wash, gouache and wax resist) on Bockingford watercolour paper 22″ × 15″ The original painting has been donated to the Undershaw Preservation Trust and any profit from sales of redbubble products that I receive will be passed onto the Trust to help with their cause, thank you.
