Yesterday I took time out from an awkward DIY job that was driving me mad. I turned my frustration into creativity and produced this painting, inspired by the walk with my good lady the previous day and ELO’s ‘Fire On High’ on the CD player. Unfortunately the painting is near impossible to photograph!
Acrylic on canvas 50cm x 50cm.

You get a hint of the texture and colour of the foreground..love the colours…its good to get frustrated !

  • Thanks Paul – the foreground is quite textured and echoes aspects of the colour in the sky/background. All colours mixed from yellow ochre, ultramarine, red, black and white.

Love the textures and mood here… : ) Looking at your portfolio, I see why you liked the palette of my painting… that purple makes an appearance in many of your works…. : )
