you certainly have captured a mood here martin, wonderful feeling. A lot different from the gloriously sunny day i was up there!!! :>)) x

  • Thank you as always, Linda! The great thing about driving trains through a landscape is you get to see it in all weathers, all conditions, all year-round. =D

do you drive locally, or nationally? Any other landscapes up your sleeve found from the drivers cab?!?!?

  • Mainly locally around West/North Yorkshire with the odd escape over to the west coast and north up the Settle-Carlisle. The view across Morecambe Bay is great when the autumn sun is setting and a winter’s morning north of Settle with fresh snow is sublime! It’s a tough life…

Wonderful stuff, I love the strong, confident way you’ve applied the paint. So atmospheric and a clever composition that leads into the painting. Well done on the feature.

  • Hey thanks Nathan! Glad you like it – I’m doing my best not to ‘fiddle’ with paint, just assertive. This piece took about 40 minutes to paint.
