Thames-Clyde Express at Aisgill, Settle Carlisle Railway by

A ‘low-relief’ picture, created by building up parts of the image using layers of card to create a slight 3D effect. The smoke is sheeps wool recovered from a barbed wire fence! Produced about 20 years ago…

Mixed media on board, including acrylics, card, paper… oh and sheeps wool!

This is a bit different, love it, could spend all day drawing these machines.

  • Thanks Richard – I did this quite a while ago. I like drawing and painting steam engines but it’s not easy to get them right… and there’s always an expert waiting to tell you exactly what you got wrong!
