Ancient Astronaut Hypothesis postulates that the records of antiquity are riddled with accounts of extraterrestial activity. From “angels” descending and ascending to and from the heavens, and that they often had “wings”. Would angels NEED wings if they are “spiritual” in nature as many people affirm? Or did the ancients use wings as an iconic signifier for their understanding of the beings ability to fly too and from the earth? Anyways, here is my playfull tribute to this interpretation of history.
Medium: Adobe Photoshop CS4
Stock: Public domain shots of earth and moon. Everything else rendered from scratch by me.

fascinating, and a thought provoking video, angel wings and swords symbolic…makes sense

  • It’s one of my favorite t.v. programs (one of the only ones I watch.) Some of the contributors are more credible/scholarly than others. I’ve always had a more Western approach to religion and philosophy, but the more I am exposed to different world views, the more important I believe it is to consider what various cultures and periods of time have to teach us!

Awesome work! I’ve been watching the series – really makes you wonder about our origins!

  • Thank you Mr. Hall! I’ve just about seen them all. I’ve read a few of their books, I appreciate Von Daniken’s enthusiasm, though how he can be a champion of the book of Enoch (and his interpretation of it) and the Book of Mormon for that matter…but fails to apply his standards of textual criticism to them that he does the Judaeo-Christian Bible is puzzling. For more thought provoking readings on alternative archaeology/science I’d suggest anything from the Atlantis Rising journal community…cf. “Forbidden Archaeology” J. Douglas Kenyon ed. And obviously I can rant and rave on such topics…they do thrill me to no end lol.
