Mandelbrot Set Fractal
The centre of the image lies at the point:
0.250,009,942,526-0.000,000,049,996i in the complex plane.
The original image of the Mandelbrot Set must be magnified by a factor1.16 billion for this particular spiral to be seen.
If this image were viewed as a background on a 17" screen, the original image of the Mandelbrot Set would have to stretch 620,105 miles.
Due to the large magnification factor, I chose a maximum iteration value of 300,000 to ensure the best possible image.
The complete image took approximately 3 hours to construct using a Pentium 4. (A very long time!!)
fractal, mandelbrot, pschodelic, spiral
Excellent work ,a great range of colour and a most interesting breakdown of facts…….truely amazing!
