I am Hidden...

I am hidden behind the shadows of myself.
Sitting in the corner crossed armed, blocking the onslaught of poison that wants to invade me.
Safe behind the self constructed walls for protection.
I cry out in my mind for release from this fortress
And long for the blissful carefree times spent so long ago.
Yet I remain unsusceptible
My fist held tight ready to block the next round of poison sent in my dire…
