Lashes, Coat and Tail

“The sunlight played gracefully on the sweet face of this pretty bay horse. The warm colours of his coat shone in the afternoon sun. Lending me an inquiring eye, he approached me. His beautiful eyes delighted me while he batted his lashes with curiosity.

Then, the perfect ray of light illuminated his profile, from where I could appreciate the softness of his lashes and the long, shiny hairs of his eyebrow. The coat turned fiery red under the warm sunlight. The tail bore golden braids of incredible glitter, playing fancifully with the sun rays.

I wanted to bring all this beauty together in a collage, where the sweetness of the horse’s glance goes side-by-side with the luxurious colours of his body.”



Artist statement
My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. I never lure my animated subjects to come close to me: spontaneity is the key.
