I had to make a poetical statement on the world financial meltdown
The Financial Crisis belongs to the following groups:
All Things Poetic, Artistic, PhilosophicalUnemotional heart of Society bled -
Finances laid bare on the marital bed.
All estranged from Heaven & Hell:
Fortunes dictated by the toll of a bell.
Futures fuelled by insatiable greed
at the expense of everyone’s need.
Institutions rescued by Government plan:
Investors ignited, burning flames fan.
Embers & ashes in the golden urn.
Currencies lost – Will Humanity learn?
Markets are means for supply & demand.
Speculation the Jailer with both on remand.
Freedom to act & do as you please.
Calm waters, or very rough seas.
Your actions affect others in so many ways.
Judgement determined & everyone pays.
The cost to society – everlasting debt.
Wealth, gambled, on the next bet.
Wisdom is found by satisfying one’s needs.
Moses on Wall Street is found in the reeds.
