This is a destination that I have wanted to visit for many years.
I am not sure what to tell you about this place, other than what I am sure you know already.
What I can tell you, is that we arrived in Agra after a long and dusty car drive and I spent the last half hour of the journey looking to see if I could see the Taj (a bit like when I was a kid going to the sea on vacation – the first to spot it, gets a sweet!), but I never saw it.
We got into our hotel room and I went to the balcony.. and there, all of a sudden… it was.
It took my breath away and I had to deal with emotions that I was not prepared for.
It has to be the singular most beautiful building that I have ever seen.
This view was taken across the Yamuna River, really early morning in February 2011 at the same place the Meditation At The Taj was taken.
If you have any inclination to visit the Taj, then I would so urge you to do it. It is just simply – perfection.
Once uploaded, this shot looked remarkably similar in framing to Agra Sunrise – an HDR of the Taj, but I assure you, this shot is significantly larger, being a panoramic!
