Bike Run by Clive S

Photographic Prints

Available to buy on…

This was taken in the Marysville area in Victoria, Australia in December 2009.

Marysville was one of the worst places hit by the devastating bush fires that raged through that area in February 2009.

Marysville mourned for a period of time and then reached out to Australia for support. People flocked from all around (and still do) to spend much needed funds in the community.

These guys diverted their usual bike-run (along with hundreds of others, to stop off at Marysville to spend some of their dollars to help.

A true testament to the human spirit.

This is great – very dynamic, with a full-on view of the bikers. The eyes are immediately drawn to the main subject, while the background is complementary but not intrusive. It’s also a very subtle use of HDR.

  • Thanks AJM. I really appreciate your comments.

Great capture Clive – good narrative too. Congrats on the features.

  • Thanks Bob. I have not returned to Marysville since around March 2009 and I really hope that the town is getting back in its’ feet and that people’s lives have returned to normal.
