Anticrepuscular V by Clive S

Anticrepuscular V by

This was taken off the beach at San Lameer, south of Durban in South Africa.

We had just taken a long walk down beach and were returning at dusk. We suddenly noticed this weird V form in the sky above us over the ocean and I took a couple of shots out of interest as it was so unusual (the sunset was behind us).

Thanks to Morpheus71 I realised that we had witnessed what cloud watchers consider to be quite an unusual phenomenon.

I too have managed to capture this type of image nice explanation here

  • Thanks again Kym. It was so weird, so I had to grab a shot, but it was only much later that Morpheus71 explained what it was on another shot of mine.
