The Port of Melbourne Pilot Boat going through ‘The Rip’ at Port Phillip Heads Victoria Australia, taken on 13.12.08, in gale force winds.

The rip is known as one of the worst stretches of water in the world by seafareres, it is the entrance to Port Phillip Bay in Victoria.

To give an indication of the size of the seas in this shot, the pilot boat is about fourty foot long
