fantastic image! congrats on your feature in M&L Format (and I’d love to know if there’s a reason for bottling boat nails!!)

  • Thanks Nadine : ) The bottled boat nails were part of a piece that a friend and I did to illustrate the loss of the boatyards in Port Adelaide. The nails were collected from the slipways, "bottled and labeled with the names of boats that had been built on the slipways over the last 170 years. Five boatyards were demolished to make for a waterfront redevelopment 2 years ago and now the development has stalled and the government is asking the community what it should do with the land where the boatyards once sat. Shame. I say bring the boatyards back.
