Interior of the Linen Store at the now abandoned Quarantine Station on Torrens Island. The Station was established on Torrens Island north of Port Adelaide in1855. It was also used as an internment camp for German citizens and sailors during WW1 and was closed in 1979 after the worldwide eradication of smallpox. The linen store is lined with beautiful camphor-smelling slatted wooden shelves, the walls are made of galvanised iron and the room is in fact a room within a room.
Freaky image!! This can really mess with you perception of depth. It doesn’t appear that the room behind the room that you were talking the shot from doesn’t even look big enough to have the iron bed in it. Awesome capture!

Wonderful illustration of why the Biogon was so highly prized for reproduction work. All those lines are beautifully straight.

thanks Brett, still getting used to the view I get through the viewfinder (fish-eye) which is way more distorted than the image I get on film
