I live and work in Seattle, Washington in the U.S. I have worked aboard various Bering Sea fishing vessels (factory trawlers-not those tiny catcher boats seen in Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch”. Those guys are nuts.) for about 17 years and have worked in the engine room for about 10 of those.-a documentary about the Niger Delta in Africa.
I also work as a camera man and grip on various local film and video productions during my off-time here in the Northwest, the latest of which is “Sweet Crude” (sweetcrudemovie.com)
My ultimate plan is to become successful enough in the film industry to be able to quit the fishing life. That’s the plan, anyway….
