Interesting artwork! I like the planet and the overall lighting. Oh, let’s not forget about the alien astronaut. The whole suit looks swift, clean and cool too.
Cliff Vestergaard
the astronaut is one of my sons toys a Robosapien.
AbyssalSoul
lol I must says it’s quite well designed. Really sci-fi! Guess that’s why the super-clean look. Still neat of course. :)

Cliff, you do make me laugh (in awe) – your son’s toy. Just too good. I am going to have to write a lot, lot more to be worthy of this cover art.
Cliff Vestergaard

Fantastic cover!! My son’s been nagging for a robosapien, so instead I could just save and get him this pic ;D … another one for the wish list!!!

Fanbloodytastic :) A new fav for me. It will be a great cover for Pilgrim’s Micro Fi.
Would there be any copyright issues if you ever wanted to sell it, as a pic, or as cover art, if Pilgrim really did publish his Micro stories? I am interested because you have given me food for thought. I could create background or supporting characters for some of my digi paintings, if this is allowed. I have always drawn all my pics, so I am totally in the dark re use of images like this.
It really is a first rate pic -well done and pat yourself on the back :)
Cliff Vestergaard
About copyright issues… I think the toy ‘Robosapien’ in the aliens work is probably a no-go which is why I have not put it up for sale…About 75% of my work…is my own photos, the rest I source from Deviant Art Stock Images which I can use however I like depending on what the photographer states, for example “add link to your artwork back to stock image provider”. There are many people on Deviant Art who just don’t mind at all. Then, there are people, if you are going to be making money from the art, they want to know how, and where it is to be sold. They like to see the finished art. With my art I spend a lot of time sourcing my images whether it be my own photography, other people’s photography or incorporating my drawings into my own photo manipulations. Tom, about 60% of the women in my artwork is my wife who I ask to pose for me, which saves me a lot of time and hassle! Other photos of women within my art, are sourced from Deviant Art or other women/people/males I know. I would prefer to use all my very own photography yet it’s hard to have the financial means to allow this. So Devian Art, is somewhat a blessing for aspiring artists like myself because artists themselves more than anyone understand how it is…
I hope this answers your questions Tom…and anyone else…
Cliff Vestergaard
Oh and one more thing…I have been able to source images from other Bubbler’s here on RedBubble, who have been more than accommodating allowing me to use their stock images and let me just say thanks to you all…
Tom Godfrey
Thanks very much Cliff. You went to a great deal of trouble to frame such a comprehensive reply and I really appreciate that. I had never heard of Deviant Art, so thanks for that possible link. I also use my own photies virtually exclusively, particularly for the pastel wildlife art I do. I did see from a few of your previous pics that your wife does most of the modelling. Lucky man. What is it like, being married to a dragon lady :) just kidding those pics are awesome. If you distorted the robosapiens image, so that it was no longer recognisable as the original model, but just used it to ref lighting and angles, I guess you could sell it then? Thanks again Cliff – your reply to my query should be of value to many aspiring artists and Bubbler fanatics out there.
Pilgrim
just added this to my story as a wonderful bit of cover art.
