this iron volcano of steam,
moor and dale carved by axe and pick,
soon to leave valley home.
The North York Moors Railway station at Grosmont, North Yorkshire, England on a clearing winter’s morning. The morning departure, slowly building up a head of steam for the journey ahead along the Esk Valley and in to the North York moors National Park.
