North Shields, Tyne and Wear, England looking towards South Shields across the mouth of the River Tyne on a very cold winter’s late afternoon as the snow storms pass over head, but in the sudden gap, Oden’s storm birds, settle in stark contrast to the white of the storm.
Converted into black and white and best viewed large.
Well, it’s as good a meaning of life as anything I’ve seen, so I say Why Not? I also think it’s a fine shot ~ great composition, with a certain solid, stolid feel to it.

great name! And my little “freezing” homestead in the background, not quite Tatouine, but still some nice sandy plains….lol – Agree with arthwhiz, a steely determination caught here, which is not uncommon in the people of these parts… h

big geordie secret here, there a special “bogof” offer on at the moment, so ask for snow and you should get both….;-) h
High winds and crashing waves, no rain, no snow.. where do I go for my refund? ;) Though I did get the whole of the North Pier to myself for a good hour
