Arc of orbit’s zenith reached, this space traveler’s celestial twin, hangs over man’s industry, urban starlight to Tyne’s journey.
Taken from the High Level Bridge in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, England, looking down along the River Tyne and the various bridges that connect Newcastle and Gateshead. The full moon was worth the freezing temperatures on the bridge.
Converted into black and white and best viewed large.
Wow, what a wonderful image! While it does look cold, it is also fascinating with all the little details and the majestic curves of the various bridges. (I love bridges!)
Was really surprised how well this came out as it was a strong cold wind blowing through the river and therefore the bridge I was standing on, especially as this was handheld, I love the ghost bus myself, thanks Marjolein
Very nice. I myself remember standing in the cold to take pictures while traveling in London UK. But not very often do I see a photo with both the sky and the city illuminating brilliantly. It is a lovely shot; and thank you for the mention and the ‘congratulations’ in your challenge :)
Thank you Mui-Ling, it is a great city to photograph at night, the full moon was just a great bonus and once again, well done on the challenge win

What a great surprise! Thank you BK. Love shooting for b/w at night, but that is half the challenge, the difficulty of getting the balance right.
