Artist's Description

Wind gifted this fertile spot,
fate or chance grabbed life,
surviving tooth, claw and foot,
now a sentinel watcher of clouds.

A tree breaking through the hard boulders of Brimham Rocks near Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire, watching over the valley beyond.

Caught in the breaking sunlight and flickering in the breeze.

Converted into black and white and best viewed large.

Shot on an Olympus E30.

Featured by the kind hosts of the One Tree at a Time Group
