Now long gone my arch,
this ghost of Priory land,
broken by time and change,
a whispered remembrance only in a name.
Priory Street in York during a small winter snow storm. Just behind Micklegate Bar, this spot was important to the Priory which once stood here as it was right next to the Royal Bar into York. To remind the confused, in York, a bar is a gate and a gate is a street, but a pub is still a pub :) Taken from our office window at the brewery.
Re the world wide cuts to spending and readjustment of assets to government control, history shows things have not changed that much ;) .
Cropped to make the most of panoramic view of the lens and the Four Thirds ratio and part of a project.
Converted into black and white and best viewed large,
Shot on an Olympus E30.
