A touch of glamour in a industrial world by

With heels a clacking on hard pavements,
with a rush driven by a clicking clock,
a flash on a grey day kissed by rain,
this window of life on an urban world.

Taken in Salford near Manchester, these windows are close to the Lowery Shopping car park and provided a great moment when this single lady walked into the shot, rushing to where ever she needed to be.

Converted into black and white and best viewed large.

Shot on an Olympus E30.

great street shot. i like how all the shades are evenly drawn on the windows. super balance and human interest. well done.

  • It was the blinds and their relationship to the black that drew me to the shot, she was a happy act of luck :) thanks James

I really wish I could capture superb shots like this….but I always seem to blur the subject! Excellent work.

  • LOL she is slightly blurred, but given her speed of walking and the low light levels, glad she is still clear. I work with shutter settings rather than aperture, so sometimes it works in my favour. thanks Peter
