Now crows fill my windows by

Once where man’s cliffs once stood,
archers stood on half eyed watch,
King and Queen once gazed out on kingdom soon to be lost,
now the crow is king over this place.

Sheriff Hutton’s second castle plays host to the crows in the sky, while remembering a time when King’s and Queen’s once spent time here.

Shot in North Yorkshire and on an Olympus E500

Converted into black and white and best viewed large.

Many a tale told here – not necessarily by an idiot, but full of sound & fury nonetheless. Could do worse than crows, I think. Haunting, sez I. One of my favorite words.

  • Is that you my faithful fool? Thanks Sheila
