Artist's Description

Fenced by man for man’s power,
skylights of glass to mirror autumn leaf,
pillars of stone pales to the touch of living trunk,
and yet still..
the ancient ones still cast their shadow on the land.
A view of the constant renewal of York Minster, framed by this wonderful display of shadow and light from the iron railings and the hidden tree.
Taken in York in North Yorkshire.
Converted into black and white and best viewed large
Featured by the kind hosts of the Time Gates Group
