Abbey Bridge near Barnard Castle in County Durham spanning the River Tees. Built in 1773, this is one of those fairy tale bridges of childhood.

Converted into black and white and best viewed large.

    ha did you take this from that tree that hangs out over the water or from that bit that juts out that you have to climb down onto? I was scared as it was high …well to me it was :P
