Cold stone upon this roof rests,
pillars of artisan’s craft,
light shadows of flicking movement,
a silence upon reflection.
A view along York Minster’s nave. A wonderful Gothic creation built from 1291 to 1350, yes the builders tea break and just off to fetch a tool excuses worked then too. The main stained glass window, is the Great West Window and dates from around 1338
