Echoes of a time when we ruled this land,
when only those of deep roots survived,
ice and snow, with summer’s fleeting,
Now we, their children are faded dreams of their glory.

Taken in the North Yorkshire countryside between Buttercrambe and Malton after several days of heavy snowfall, this one of a handful of roads still open in the area.

Converted in to black and white and best viewed large.
