Victorian tales of Gothic murder and romance,
cast a light upon this modern snow,
crash barrier defences before a ancient sanctuary,
gentle glory before the master mason’s art.
Taken in front of the Church of St Peter in York, more famously known as York Minster, with the entrance to St Michel le Belfry just visible to the right in the image.
A longish exposure allows the light from some of York’s gas powered street lights to balance the light from the Minster arched door.
Converted into black and white and best viewed large.
