This is the view from Hutton Rudby in North Yorkshire across the valley towards the Cleveland Hills, which are slightly hidden by the incoming next snow storm.
The title is a play on the streets name and the famous excuse used by the UK rain industry a few years back.
Converted into a holga black and white and best viewed large.
Upon this seat I will rest awhile, The season is as it should be,so like the season, I will be as I should, and rest these tired limbs
Oh, I remember the wrong snow, and the wrong leaves on the railways tracks too, I can smell the crispness in the air. Lovely shot. Thanks for taking me there.
LOL amazing how that line (excuse the pun lol ) has haunted the rail industry, thanks Soaps. This was the weather front between me and the homeward leg of my day delivering.

This is fantastic Richard… what precious winter capture!
Thank you Lorena, because of driving in it, not had that much chance to actually photograph it this year
There are some classic utterances like ’You’re never alone with a Strand’ a cigarette ad that killed that tobaco manufacturer overnight. Maybe you should set up a black and white of that image, do you remember it?
LOL used to have a book, now sadly lost, that was a collection of such classic lines. A bit slow this morning, which image? One beauty of this season is nature turns everything to black and white for us b/w types lol
Is the poem yours too ? They should print these words on the eurostar tickets this season, as a delightful litterary consolation for the customers stuck in the tunnel, as they enjoy approximately the same view, just without the white… ;-)
LOL yes the poem is mine, but at least their seats are slightly more padded then this bench lol and they have a buffet car ;)
Love this whole adventure into classics of all sorts. But I have to say it: the UK rain industry? Couldn’t have said it better myself. And the photo’s not bad either………
gosh Richard … please don’t misunderstand, but erm, winter suits you! ;) … the images you’re creating are stunning … the have a feel about them that I’d not noticed as much before …
LOL I love winter Tina, always have, hide away in summer as it becomes so boring lol and thank you for such a lovely comment, maybe it is the viewer that has changed ;)

Perhaps they should call it stationary lane! Even the bench and tree look like they’re waiting for something to happen! Good one!
Think like me they were waiting to see if the lorry was going to make it round the bend and not in the hedge with the speed he was going. Thanks Kerry, there really was a stillness in the air here
