Fingers grasping the shore by

The view along the Lees headland just south of Sandhaven Beach in South Shields, Tyne and wear.

This stretch has this wonderful aspect of looking like fingers reaching into the sea, trying to hold on the to the eroding shoreline

Converted into black and white pinhole

Fabulous! This evokes feelings of aloneness and stillness, even with the “wind” and the waves…

  • Thank you Dar, the wind and the fast moving light made this a wonderful place just to stand and watch, even worth the wet trousers to get this shot lol

Shutter grasping the light and shade which will inexorably disappear like the cliff will unrelentingly collapse in the sea… Love this sort of vanity…

  • lol think I will leave my photo descriptions to you in future, thank you as always Helene

great shot CIH, you’re so right about the erosion, it’s frightening how quickly the coastline changes at this location.
