Reflections on a passing storm by

This is the reflections in Yew Tree Tarn, just as the sun was trying to break through the passing rain clouds.

Right next to the road from Coniston to Ambleside lies this little gem, the dam being built in the 1930’s to create a fishing lake. Though be prepared to fight for a parking space or a walk to get to it and then a mugging from the local swans and ducks looking to be fed.

Taken in the Lake District in Cumbria

Lovely shot, I must try and visit when I’m up in June.

  • The Yew Tree Farm is where they shot that Potter film, the one which predates the Harry ones that is lol, so good luck in finding it clear of people and a car park space, Still worth the effort though
