Artist's Description

This coat is made for warmth,
yet my feet ache for grass,
Winter’s grip reaching into Spring,
a lost cry for help and food.

In a snowstorm rushing down Weardale, this sheep ran to the gate hoping for food and release. Her face seemed to capture most people’s feelings as the weather kept Spring back from the UK. Taken on the outskirts of St John’s Chapel, County Durham, England.
