Under the arched entrance to York City Art Gallery, when weather allows, the cafe extends out into the square and here this late afternoon sun brought the customers to worship both product and sun.

    Why isn’t there ever such lights in front of tea places, that’s an interesting metaphysical question, isn’t it ? It would make great effects on the fluffy silver hair of old ladies basking in the sun…

    Tea places seem to be places of cream teas and posh cups, missing the rugged polish of coffee houses ;) Plus fluffy hair could be mistaken for low cloud as seen as fog :)
