Skull Island adventure

Take one friend, add Marsden Stack in Marsden Bay in South Shields, throw in a few well cooked clouds, a smidgen of water to sand, cook under a passing ray of sun and then let the black and white pinhole take you on a journey of the imagination back to those early King Kong movies.

lol … nope … just unpacked from the weekend in Wales (not a single shot taken, though good networking and probably some jobs acquired :) ...) ... Shall pack tomorrow as I’m not in on Thursday and I fly on Friday … nuts really … but I do love it :) You had a good weekend then? – image certainly looks great!

  • clickinhistory replied

weekend spent doing chores, drinking real ale at a house waring with divine food and avoiding the pots of paint looking at me on the Sunday lol Good news on the jobs front, have a fun flight with all the Bank Holiday escapees lol

was this a pinhole cap for the digital, or a real film pinhole camera? striking contrast. almost looks IR. i can see the long exposure in the water. your model must have been very patient to stand still so long. you’ve got a good recipe going. cheers!

Took it through a UV filter and a circular poliser and the rest is all down to treating as if it was a print with some clever software, which has several effects on it.. there secret out phew..lol Thanks JK

Another scary shot from you… ;-)
I like the balance between the white sand and the pebbles on the beach, and the echoeing balance in the clouds design, and all the atmosphere from the single little figure.

Thank you Helene, lol This is a place to put on your must visit list

I love the starkness, the rawness of this shot! It could also look like a setting for a Bronte novel as well!
