After the dance of tides and time

This single trainer was left on the beach by the retreating tide at Sandhaven Beach at South Shields.

It’s white colour standing out against the colours of the beach, the almost perfect beachcomber photographer’s find.

Converted into b/w with a Holga/film effect

Best viewed large to get the mirror of the white of the shoe and the white of harbour point light house.

After the dance of tides and time belongs to the following groups:

All About Water, Black & White Photographers Showcase, Landscape Photography, Mood & Ambience - Strictly Photos, North East England, Northern landscape, Olympus and Four Thirds Group, Rural Around The Globe, Shameless Self-Promotion and United Kingdom Available for sale as

It really stands out not only due to the whiteness; but also it is the only texture against the smooth lines of the beach and waves. It makes the viewer contemplate the half life of our cast-offs after we leave or better yet after human occupation of this planet.

a rare moment when the North Sea was calm….. In all the 25 or so years I lived there it must of been this calm twice :-) Love the indulations in the sand reflecting into the distance,
