    Beautiful shot!
    Your title caught my eye, though, since dragonflies don’t “hatch”. Did you mean that this one has metamorphosed from being a nymph and freshly moulted its skin?
    Extraordinary color – I have not seen that variety here, nor one like it. And, also extraordinary – it looks like there is a face on the back of its head! Very cool shot. =)

  • Hi Ben, Phil put this description on late one night and I think he must mean it was moulting its skin, but I will ask him and find out where it was taken.
