Life awaits

Anguish, pain, torment
Some of life’s bitter lessons.
Fun, giggles, laughter, love,
Some of life’s joyous rewards.

The first may come
Despite expectations of joy.
The second will come
As surprises sprung when least expected.

A shattered heart but spirit of strength
Gets one through this misery now
Though unfair, hang in there,
Life awaits for those who dare!

    So true words Jan.
Written with the elegance of a true survivor :-)
    Concisely impressive write !!

  • Thank you for your beautiful compliment, Billy.
I know that the person who inspired this has seen it but I don’t know what they think of it. I am in awe of their endurance and strength; they endure so much, they’re brought to their knees (damn, I’m writing another one!). My trials are trivial and my survival seems foregone.

I dare ! Great work Jan XXXX

  • You did, indeed, Sharon. And you won by hanging in there, beating them at their own gamr. I hope you’re doing well and that life is good. :-)
