Artist's Description

I used the base from a previous abstract which I’d actually saved, something I rarely do.

There are numerous filters, a couple of Blending Mode changes, Fractalius and a little bit of painting. As it was nearing the end, I could see what could, if you stretched your imagination, be called an insect! All up, I think there are about 25 – 30 layers in this one, a huge number for me! It’s a little bit darker than I want but I can’t lighten it without destroying it.

I wish I could draw or paint, I now have an idea for an imaginary insect, a fantastical one, but it would still be an abstract. Oh well, it’ll stay in my imagination until it fades.

Many thanks for looking. All comments are much appreciated.

Created wholly in Photoshop CS3.
