Coming out of the Brussels Central station during the evening peak hour, I could hear a beautiful (electric) spanish guitar being played. I followed my ears and found this dapper gentleman out the front of the station playing so wonderfully. After he’d finished the piece he was playing when I first heard him, he leant to one side, changed something (on his amplifier, maybe), rolled up his sleeves and began playing what sound a bit jazz-like (I’m not a huge fan of jazz in general). I stood there for a few minutes, listening and watching as his fingers danced across the strings making musical magic. I know you can’t hear him, but he was making his guitar sing.
I had my camera in my backpack, so I pulled it out and took a couple of shots. Even though he was out on the street, playing for anyone who passed by, I felt as if I was invading his privacy by taking these shots without his permission.
I’ve cropped the shot, blurred the area around his hands and guitar, and sharpened those same hands and guitar.
