This is my image of “Streak”, Intensity" with the addition of Fractalius filter. I’m really pleased with how it’s come up, and I hope you enjoy it.

    Gorgeous work!!

  • He’s a very handsome boy but I think Fractalius has enhanced this even more. I also think it’s made the intensity of his gaze more obvious, don’t you? Thanks for a lovely comment, Margot, it’s appreciated as always.

oh wow, that treatment really brings out the softness

  • Fractalius has lightened the image a little while making his intense gaze more obvious. I’m very pleased you enjoyed it, judy, and I appreciate your gorgeous comment very much.

I agree that that the softer effect of the filter on other areas of the image has made the eye the real focal point; it really does make it a more powerful image. Absolutely beautiful.

  • I actually removed the Fractalius from around his eye – I copied the base layer and used the filter on it. I felt that his eye was much better without it, and I’m glad you agree, Margot. (This is the 2nd one I did with Fractalius and I much prefer it. I would have done a few except that Fractalius takes so long to do it’s thing!)

I’m not a cat lover Jan but this is cute and he looks soooo soft!!! :-)

  • Lol, neither is my mother, but she has actually thought that each of the cats we’ve had have at least been “characters”! His fur is very soft and quite glossy although you can’t see it in this pic or the original as it was a very dull day. I’m glad you like my handsome boy, Rosie. Lol, if you ever come to visit, you won’t see him as he doesn’t like strangers and disappears, only to re-appear after they’ve been gone for a while – when he’s sure they have actually done!

Adorable kitty, Jan. But now I must google Fractalius filter; I’m curious to learn how you managed to make Streak’s fur stand out like this!

Ah, I see! Not something I’d want to do to my chin hairs!

  • I’m pleased you enjoyed Streak’s enhcanement, Jan, thank you.
The beauty of Fractalius is that’s endless in what it can do. You can make it a light touch like I’ve done here or you can make it a very heavy one; most of the time, I just make it a light touch to add a little something extra or, as in this case, to emphasise his eye. Search on RB and you’ll be plesantly surprised by what you find, there are several people who really have it’s use down to a fine art! Have a look here you’ll see another one I did, a little heavier. I did have the original on here but not any more – maybe I should put it in the Description!
Lol, I hadn’t thought of doing that . . . giggles on her way out of the room! Wonders . . .
