Experimenting again with light and “moving zoom” which is what I call it when I pull the zoom lens from one extreme to the other while holding the shutter open or using a timed exposure. I’m rather pleased with how this has turned out!
There are actually three roses in this pic but the third one, a dark red one in the far left, is a little too far from the light to be seen unfortunately.
Tripod-mounted Pentax K100D, Sigma 28 – 80 mm lens.
Exposure: 1.5 seconds;
Focal length: 39 mm pulled to 80 mm.
I used a small clip-on LED desk lamp clipped to a free-standing planter pole positioned to the right and slightly behind the roses. I angled it towards the roses.
I also used a length of black fabric hung behind the roses and a dark red organza curtain placed over the top of a table I’m in the process of renovating.
